I never imagined that naming a child would be this excruciating. Thank the Lord I have time before she gets here and I am obliged to name her. At the rate we are going though, her name will end up being Baby Girl Parsons. Hmph! Great parents we are going to be.
In all seriousness, this is really difficult. I really love one particular name. That name happens to be really popular. Gee, thanks Lindsay, for pointing that out! Now I'm debating said name because I don't want my daughter in school with a ton of other kids with that name. My child is unique and that deserves an unique name. No, not like crazy unique. Just unique enough that she stands a good chance to be the only kid named that in school. I could just name her what I want to name her, and go by her middle name (which is yet to be picked either-just as difficult a task) but I don't want to do that. I think the name I like sounds really great with her last name.
Thank goodness we don't have to pick out a last name either. I'm glad that is set in stone! I would probably be in a mental institute if I had to pick out 3 names! So I guess the baby's name is still Baby Girl Parsons. Maybe we'll make some headway in the coming weeks. Or maybe I will. Sean has been no help so far. My sister has; she compiled me a huge list of names that fit my criteria (well kind of). Unfortunately, none of them strike me as "the name". And I'm very glad that I found out what we are having. At least this way we have a few months.
Any tips and advice would be much appreciated.

We're having a...
GIRL!!! Yes, that is right. Apparently, most everybody was wrong. While I was "hoping" for a boy, I had lately starting thinking my little one was a girl. My reasoning behind this is purely based on Murphy's Law. You see we had several boy names picked out, but no girl names. So there opens the name debate. I'm sure this will be a long process. Hopefully it won't be a knock-down, drag-out fight!
I'm sure you all want to see pics! Most of the pics I have are of my little girl's organs. While I care very much about said organs, I'm sure most of you don't care to see the 4 chambers of her heart. (If you do, please let me know and I'll post those) I do have several face shots, quite a few feet shots, and one adorable pic of her sucking her thumb! I got a lot of feet shots because it seems my little girl is shy and modest. Aww, I'm proud. One could also say she is stubborn. My ultrasound tech worked and worked to get her to show us the goods. It took about 15 minutes and alot of prodding. The baby kept moving her legs and feet in a way that still wouldn't allow us a peek. Then she moved her bum so we couldn't see. And finally when we thought we were in the clear and she had moved her feet and legs...she put her hands down to cover! So seeing as how she is obviously not wanting to show off her money shot, I will not be posting said pics! (However, if you really want to see I may rethink it).
So friends and Internet meet (yet to be named) Baby Girl Parsons!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! (and catching up)
I'm bad! I haven't updated in awhile. I mean to, but I ususally end up forgetting or get tired. Enough with the excuses! I will make my best effort to update more regularly. And by regularly, I mean more than once a month. Maybe I'll be able to committ to once a week!!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! If you are planning on imbibing, be careful! But also, have one for me!!! Today is Sean's dad & stepmom's anniversary. I do have to say that if they didn't already have this day as their anniversary then Sean and I would have it!!! Today is also the day that I find out whether we are having a little boy or a little girl!!! I have a 3pm ultrasound scheduled...and it won't get here soon enough! My mom will be going with me. I hope Sean is able to go also, but he is working down south, so he may not make it in time :( Either way, I will find out :) I will have to swear my mother to secrecy and silence-this will be the biggest challenge of all. Even more so than me being secret and silent-and if you know me well you know how difficult that is! Of course, after Sean knows then everyone else can find out. It is only proper. So if you are all so very luck-and I do have to say that St. Patrick's Day is a very lucky day-then I may make 2 posts today!
Oh and I forgot to update awhile back that we didn't move to that farm house. But that is a post in and of itself, so check back!!!

Moving on Up!
Well, Sean and I have finally found a place to rent that met our criteria. Not an apartment, no noisy neighbors, land that we can have a garden in, at least 2 bedrooms, and on the north side of Indy. Check all those boxes!
We put a deposit down on an old farm house. Very nice...well except the paint, orange shag carpet, bright blue carpet, wood paneling in the kitchen (hence dark and dreary), and nasty vinyl in the kitchen. Other than that, this place is about perfect! And since all of my complaints were ones of pure vanity, we decided we could deal with it. Now just getting the little old lady to let us "rehab" the place a bit. I can live with the carpet (though I'm sure it is older than I am; maybe Sean too); except in the 2nd bedroom (which will be baby's bedroom). You have to love little, old ladies. They are extremely honest! She said the previous tenants had a flood in the bathroom and the back bedroom got flooded. She mentioned her son tore the carpet up and cleaned it real well, but I'm still hesitant. I don't want any kid of mine crawling, lying, etc in a place where fecal matter may or may not have been. Granted it will be awhile before said child is here, let alone even crawling, but you can see where I'm coming from.
I will have to post pictures of the place after we move in. Maybe it isn't as hideous as I'm making it out to be. My mind could very well be playing tricks on me, but I'm pretty sure the nausea I felt when walking into the living room (orange shag) and the BLUE room (bright blue walls, and blue carpet ~which will be our bedroom by the way) wasn't related to this pregnancy.
I'm optimistic that Sean can talk the owners into letting us "freshen" it up a bit, or however he wants to put it.
And speaking of the owners, well that is a post in and of itself, but I think they are very sweet! So now we just have to start getting packed up, and buy a few things (i.e. washer/dryer, kitchen table) and we are good to go. My dad is excited about this because we will be a lot closer to him. Approximately 9-10 miles northwest of him. I'm sure my mom would be excited too, but seeing as how I KNOW she will ask to move in, I'm trying to put this off as long as possible. So now we are moving on up to a way bigger place and way more north! There are only a few things I'll miss about the place we are in now...Kerry and Kathy! But I know we can still travel down to the southside and see them, and they are always welcome at our place.
Woohoo! Now off to plan my garden for this year....

The BIG Announcement!
Okay...now that I have officially told everyone that needs to know (well minus my employer, but I can put that off for another week or two; maybe three) I can post it here. Sean and I are having a baby!
Yes, you read that right. I am pregnant. I guess the politically correct thing would be to say that "we" are pregnant. However, Sean hasn't been the one dealing with the day to day stuff; other than my moodiness. And well, anyone that knows me, knows that isn't anything new. LOL!
Okay, so you are probably wondering a few things. I'll address what I think you may want to know. If you have any other comments/questions feel free to ask. So here goes:
I am currently a little over 13 weeks; every Friday I start a new week. I have had 2 ultrasounds and will be posting some of the pictures at the end. The baby is estimated to arrive August 14th, 2009. We do not know what we are having yet. We will find out at the earliest at our 20 wk scan; assuming baby is cooperating. I have felt pretty great so far! Not too tired (though I do sleep at least 10 hours a night; sometimes 12). Not too bad of morning sickness. I think I only threw up a handful of times; however all of those were at night, and a few times I think it was the result of food poisoning. You are more prone to food poisoning while pregnant, as your digestive systems S-L-O-W-S down. Supposedly your metabolism increases too. While I have gained minimal weight (think yo-yo; gain some, lose some, etc.) I have not seen any thing to prove this. I have had this "friend" with me called Bloat for some time. Most mornings she is gone, but usually after lunch she returns. Damn friend, Bloat. I am not showing; just look bloated/heavier. You'd think that would be a dead give-away, but alas, I have not always been skinny my whole life.
Okay, enough boring details. Now for some fun pics! Last one (was supposed to be first but it just put the pics in this order) was when we found out how far along I was. It was taken at 8w6d (that is weeks and days-so just before 9 weeks). Then the following ones were at 12w6d. It is amazing how much s/he has grown in 4 weeks! And it was neat seeing the little bugger just flip and twist!
Face Shot!

Spring Fever
Well, you may have noticed I changed my layout. I got tired of the dark and dreary. I'm ready for spring. I'm ready for warmer weather, birds chirping, sun shining, and flowers!!! I love flowers. I also love gardens.
This little "heat" wave that we have been having the past few days (for those of you not in Indiana, it has been in the mid to high 40s the past few days) is making me long for spring. I know this weather won't last. Winter weather will be back, and I'm sure with a vengence. But nonetheless, I am going stir-crazy for planting my garden and flowers. I already have a huge list of all of the stuff I need. I just wish I knew with some certainty, when we will be moving. It is not a question of if we will be moving...just when. I don't want to start my garden and flowers, only to move and not get to enjoy them or take them. That would be like leaving behind your animal.
Speaking of animals...two of my rabbits are driving me nuts! I want to separate them from Jackie Blue. She is a sweetheart. Janie and Roxy...well I don't have anything nice to say about them...except that their little "mohawks" are adorable in winter!!! *Sigh* I can't separate her from her "sisters"; though at times I think she would appreciate it. They gang up on her, bite her, etc. And she is WAY bigger than them. She is just a big teddy bear (err, bunny rabbit).
Well, I hope everyone likes the new layout. Let me know your thoughts. I love comments! I can't wait for spring.

Things that slip the mind...
Isn't it funny how sometimes things will slip your mind? Sometimes small, sometimes big. The small things; probably not that important. The big things; well that is a big deal. How does one forget a "big thing"? Well I don't personally know; unless it is something that is supposed to be a "surprise" or something.
You are probably wondering what I am talking about. Well this morning at 4am, I was rudely woken. Sean's cell phone was doing the "periodic" melody of a missed call, voice mail, or message. So I got up and went pee. I layed back down, and then his phone starts ringing. I made him wake up. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why anyone would call that early. Of course, I'm thinking emergency (or his sister was going into labor-though I don't think she would call him at that time about that). Turns out it was the neighbor, asking him about breakfast (this is what Sean told me). Sean got ready and said he was going to eat breakfast with Kerry (our neighbor). No biggie...I layed there wondering how anyone could hop out of a dead sleep and think about eating that early, but tried to go back to sleep none the less.
Well I couldn't sleep. So I hopped online. Sean came in about 20 minutes later and apologized for waking me up. I told him it was okay; I couldn't get back to sleep. Well a few minutes later I got hungry, so I asked him to pick me up some oj and a muffin. I'm a little fuzzy on what he said, but it was along the lines of ok. Well 10 minutes later, I couldn't wait, so I warmed up my car and drove to McDonalds. Yeah, real healthy, I know.
I got back and sent him a text message saying not to worry about the food, I had it taken care of. He sent me two messages. One saying he was going snowboarding. I told him to have fun. The other one was pretty vague; about our personalities clashing and getting along better. Okay, I'm not all that sure what he was talking about; other than my piss-poor attitude this morning. Sorry...I'm not a morning person. And that is a bit of an understatement...and so is that, but you get the point.
Well, I went back to sleep for a few hours. When I got up, I went outside to check on the rabbits. I noticed all of his vehicles were here, so I was wondering how he went snowboarding if he didn't drive anywhere. Thinking he may still be next door, and hadn't left, I went to check. Nope...not there. So I called my neighbor, Kerry. And this is for real what happenend next (not verbatim, but pretty close)...
Sarah: "Hey Kerry! I was wondering if Sean was with you? He said he was going snowboarding, but his cars are here."
Kerry: "Hey hon! Oh I dropped him off at the airport."
Me: "Huh?"
Kerry: "Yeah, he asked me yesterday if I could take him to the airport this morning b/c he had a flight around 5ish, and didn't think you would want to get up to take him. He said something about snowskiing."
Me: "Huh?" (I'm thinking this is some kind of joke, mind you-like he is right next to him or something)
Kerry: "Yeah, he said something about snowskiing in Utah. I dropped him off about 5 this morning."
Me: still in disbelief "Utah? He went snowboarding in Utah? He just told me he was going snowboarding."
Kerry: "Oh, he didn't tell you. [insert long, awkward silence here] I guess you are upset."
Me: "Umm...well when he said snowboarding (and he did tell me a week ago that he was probably going to go snowboarding, but I'm thinking of the place in Indiana where he always goes) it sounded kind of last-minute. That sounds...planned."
Kerry: "Well, I should say so. He has known for at least a day or two. He really didn't tell you he was going snowboarding in Utah?"
Me: "No."
Kerry: "Well, I give you permission to be upset. Call me later if you want."
Me: "Thanks Kerry."
So back to my original point...how does one forget something that big? I'm sure Sean has a good explanation. In the meantime, I have been wondering if he told me and I forgot. No, I'm pretty sure all I heard was "going snowboarding". Nothing mentioned about a plane, Utah, etc. So I'm confused...and hurt. How can someone that you love and care about just fail to mention flying half-way across the country? To top it off, I found a list of dates on his desk, and I think he will be gone all week. At least, that is all I can deduce from his random list of dates. It also looks like he will be at BeaverCreek Feb. 28-March 5. He has yet to mention this either. So on top of him failing to mention that the snowboarding is in Utah (and it remains to be seen when he will return), but it also appears that he is on vacation this week and didn't mention that either (but he may not be-I apparently know NOTHING).
So I'm wondering what you would do? Part of me just wants to pack up stuff and just leave (at least come Friday). The other part wants to know why he didn't tell me, and talk to him about it. And this other little part of me just wants to bash his face in. Let's hope those two little parts (and I'm sure you know which ones) lose their "steam" so to speak. In the meantime, I'm confused and upset in Indiana...oh and trying not to jump to conclusions.
